Steve Roberts – Senior Minister

Steve joined us as Senior Minister in January 2009. Before that, he served at the Anglican churches in Bowral and Northmead. Before moving into full-time ministry, Steve taught High School Maths for 13 years in schools in north and western Sydney. He has been a Christian since his mid-20s. The key issue was understanding that God is a personal, loving Father and his Son, Jesus, died and came back to life so we can become part of his eternal family and not fear death.

Steve is passionate to see people take Jesus seriously in every area of their lives. Steve and his wife Trish were married in 1984 and they have three adult children and a wonderful daughter-in-law. Steve is a passionate fan of the St George Illawarra Dragons and loves playing and watching all sports.

Natasha Hansen – Pastoral Care Assistant

I have been a Christian since the age of 14 and have been worshiping at APAC since 1992. I am happily married to Tony and love being a mum to my two young adult children.

I am passionate about prayer and the Bible and love to see others grow in love, faith, and dependency on Christ. I enjoy visiting and supporting those in need, leading Bible study groups, encouraging leaders and training others in pastoral care.

For fun and relaxation, I love reading and exploring God’s amazing and varied creation.

Bec Jones – Student Minister

I have been blessed greatly to have grown up within APAC and have seen the way God has used his people and his church faithfully to grow his kingdom over the years. In 2019 I’m completing an Advanced Diploma in Theology at Youthworks College (specializing in youth ministry). A part of this study involves practical training in youth ministry – a role that I’m stoked to be undertaking with APAC.

I’m excited to join the team in serving the church family. My focus is with our youth (high school aged) crew. I love seeing them grow in their knowledge and understanding of God and His Word, the Bible, and commit their lives to serve Him. I find it so exciting to see them ask the tough questions and think about what it means to live as a Christian. I’m privileged to be a part of the journey with each and every one of them.

If you see me around come and say Hi! I’d love to chat with you!

Julie McGilvray – Office Administrator

I’m married to Neil and have 4 adult children. We recently moved to Tullimbar and are looking forward to lots of swimming and walks. I enjoy gardening, knitting and scrapbooking plus watching the St George Illawarra Dragons play.

I’ve been committed to following Jesus for over 30 years – he is my rock and comforter. I am excited to see how Jesus will use me at Albion Park Anglican to grow His church family.

Beryl Nash – Safe Ministry Representative, Office Volunteer

I have lived in Albion Park, with my husband, Geoff, for 43 years. We have two adult children and two grandchildren. We enjoy travel and experiencing Australia’s great outdoors. I love being part of God’s family at Albion Park Anglican Church. It is a great place to worship, learn from God’s word & meet with other Christians. It never ceases to amaze me that God loves us so much that he sent His son, Jesus, into this world.

As Safe Ministry Representative at APAC it is my desire that all people, especially children, who attend any activity, will feel safe, loved and cared for and come to experience God’s great love for them.
