COVID Requirements

Health/safety considerations

Please do not attend church if:-

  • you are feeling unwell, have flu like symptoms or develop symptoms of COVID 19 – attending church if you (or a member of your family) have possible symptoms of Covid 19 may put people at risk and jeopardise our returning to church – please remember there may be vulnerable/high risk people attending church
  • you have travelled to Victoria in the past two weeks
  • you have travelled overseas in the past month
  • you have been at a COVID hotspot (as outlined by the NSW Health Public Health Orders and Restrictions)

If you develop symptoms or start feeling sick while at Church please leave the premises immediately and inform a Welcomer or Usher

On arrival at church

  • Please do not congregate in the car park or foyer – remember to maintain social distancing (1.5 metres)
  • Entry to the church will be through the foyer where you will be greeted by a welcomer
  • You will be requested to sanitise your hands, and will be offered a mask to wear (while not mandatory is highly recommended)
  • A welcomer will record or check your details for contact tracing
  • An usher will direct you to appropriate seating in the church and will request that you remain seated
  • Members of a household may sit together – other people attending will be directed to appropriate seats

Before, during and after the service

  • Please be patient and respect the guidance of ushers/welcomers and the service leader who are working to keep you and others to stay safe and to comply with our COVID Safety Plan which has been developed in accordance with Diocesan directives and Public Health Orders
  • Please remain seated in designated seating – please do not mingle with others before or after the service – again remember social distancing of 1.5 metres with members of other families
  • If you need to leave your seat please inform an usher who will ensure that you may do so safely
  • Please be patient- respect and consider our brothers and sisters at church
  • Please bring your own Bible, Bulletin and your own note taking equipment. Please do not share bibles and such items outside of your family group.
  • While it is a loving response, we ask that you avoid physical contact (hugging/kissing/handshaking) with others outside of your household
  • Do not sing during the service – also join in prayers quietly and don’t vocalise – while we want to raise our voices in praise and worship of God, medical advice has deemed this to be a high risk of spreading virus infection (raising our voices that is – not praising God!)
  • At the end of the service please await guidance/direction as to exiting the church
  • Please do not congregate in the car park or courtyard area – arrange to meet up elsewhere – a private home, park, café, etc

Once again thank you for your patience as we look towards welcoming you back to attend a church service. Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ken, Ian, David or Garry or email Julie in the church office.
